Biography
WGA is excited to announce the addition of Dr. Satyanisth Agrawal. Dr. Agrawal brings years of experience to our area and is highly trained, including ERCP and EUS advanced procedures. He will be a welcome addition to our practice, hospital and the community. Dr. Agrawal earned his Medical degree at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, Erie PA in 2008. After one year Internship at Case Western Reserve University, he went on to complete residency at the University of Southern California in Internal Medicine.
After completion of his residency, Dr. Agrawal completed his Fellowship in Gastroenterology from West Penn Allegheny Health System in June 2014 and his Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship (EUS and ERCP) from Wisconsin GI Associates – Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI in June 2015. Post Fellowship, he joined a private practice – Advanced Gastroenterology in Maryland, where he practiced for 2 years. He supported 2 hospitals and would round at one hospital in the morning followed by procedures and then would end his day rounding at the second hospital.
Since August 2017, he has been an Assistant Professor of Medicine/Gastroenterology at George Washington University – Medical Faculty Associates. His focus for the program is Interventional Endoscopy, EUS, and ERCP. Dr. Agrawal is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology and American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. During his career, he has participated in a number of research activities, is published and is experienced in oral presentation nationally.
