We are regretful yet joyful to announce that after 25 years Dr. Nicholas Snow is retiring from Winchester Gastroenterology Associates this March. Although he will be missed greatly, we wish him very much luck in whichever future endeavors he pursues. He has added much value to our office and has our unending support. Below is a letter that Dr. Snow has written for his patients:
I have enjoyed caring for you and your families over the years. It is with mixed emotions as I am writing to let you know of my intention to retire after 25 years of practicing. It has been a great pleasure and honor serving as your Physician over the years. I have pride in my career, joy in anticipation of my future, and sadness to leave so many of you, my friends and patients. My last day with Winchester Gastroenterology Associates will be on 31 March 2021.
As you all know, Winchester Gastroenterology Associates is staffed with some of the most knowledgeable and caring Physicians in the country. When I began with Winchester Gastroenterology over 25 years ago, we were a practice of three physicians. Now we have quadrupled to a thriving practice of 12 practitioners; 6 Physicians and 7 Advanced Practice Providers. Dr. Satyanisth Agrawal will be joining our Practice on March 29, 2021, so you will be able to continue your medical care with him. You also have the option to choose to see another one of our qualified Physicians within the group. Dr. Agrawal is highly trained, including in advanced procedures such as ERCP and EUS, and will be a welcome addition to our practice, hospital and the community.
These professionals at Winchester Gastroenterology will continue to care for the Gastrointestinal needs of our community.
Your medical records are confidential and will remain on file with Winchester Gastroenterology and rest assured that your care transition will be handled with the greatest concern for your health and privacy. If you choose another physician within our group, you do not need to take any action concerning your records. If you choose a physician outside of our clinic, you will need to sign an authorization form before we can release your medical records. Please note, by law we cannot share your medical information without your written consent. You may sign this form at our office or you may complete the necessary paperwork at your first visit with your new doctor.
Though I no longer will be practicing gastroenterology, I will remain active in community education and advocacy to mitigate the detrimental health effects of climate change on our health.
Over my career in Winchester, I have been blessed to meet and care for each of you. I sincerely appreciate your friendship and loyalty. I will miss our interactions in the office, in the hospital, and even virtually, both during consultations and endoscopic procedures. All of you have meant so much to me. Daily, you taught me how be more compassionate, caring and I hope, wiser. I wish you continued good health and all the best in the coming years.
Nicholas D. Snow, MD
